Curse You - 100 Days of School!

Ever since Kindergarten started in August, Blake's class has been counting each day of school - waiting to get to the elusive 100th day of school. When Blake would get off the bus each day I would ask him what number they were at and he would recite that day's number for me. This past friday was their 100th day of school and they celebrated as only kindergartners can - by making paper hats, reading books about numbers, and bringing in collections of 100 things. Blake had a great time.
So now its monday and this morning Blake was hanging out, watching cartoons, and I eventually had to tell him that he was going to have to hurry up and get ready or he was going to be late for school. He looked completely shocked and said "but the 100th day of school was on friday." The poor kid thought he just had to make it to friday and his kindergarten career was over. I felt so bad making him get dressed and pushing him out the door to catch the bus as I explained that he probably has like 100 more days before school is out. So thanks a lot 100 days of school - thanks a lot.
