We have been able to get out and see a lot since the last time I posted. Two saturdays ago we drove down to Stonehenge. It was awesome! And it is in such a beautiful area, with green fields as far as the eye could see.
Then we drove to nearby Avebury, where they also have a big stone circle. This one seems to surround the entire town, and they let you just wander around and touch the stones. The kids had a lot of fun here.
Last week we took the kids out of school for a few days and drove to Holland to see the tulips. We went to the Keukenhof - which is a big botanical garden where all of the growers plant their bulbs and make amazing displays of flowers. We spent hours here. There was a lot to see and plenty to keep the kids happy. There was a big evergreen maze to wander through, and we took a boat ride on the irrigation canals that run through tulip fields. Cade fell asleep half way through.
Then we spent the afternoon driving around looking at the tulip fields. The air smelled amazing!
This is Amy and Blake at Zandvoort - a beach in The Netherlands.
On our way back to England we stopped in Delft in The Netherlands and took a tour of a Delft pottery factory. All of their pieces are hand painted and very beautiful. They are also VERY expensive. We wanted to bring something home to remember our trip, and this tiny box almost blew the budget, but I love it.
Last Saturday we wanted to keep ourselves busy so we didn't have to sit in a hotel room all day, so we drove to Southwold - an adorable seaside town in England. The kids spent the afternoon building sand castles, eating gingerbread men from a local bakery, and swordfighting with their shovels.
That's all for now!

I love it! To say, "here are the kids playing at a beach in the Netherlands" What fun! Appreciate everyday! What an experience!
Your next trip should be pg 197 of the Great Britian Book. It's called the North Norfolk Coastal Tour. You get to see white cliffs, lavender, Wells-next-to-the-Sea, marches, and a windmill. Sounds fun!
Looks like you are having a great time! I wish we were there too! Hopefully, you'll move into your house soon!
YOU'RE ALIVE!!! I'm glad.
Thats all
So glad to hear from you guys again. You forgot the funny story about Blakes underware. Maybe you don't want it repeated. What neat pictures!THis is a once in a lifetime experience!
We can hardly wait to go to some of those places with you in just about 2 months!
Were there any offerings made of young innocent maidens at stonehenge? That is something that I have always wanted to do (visit stonehenge, not the maiden thing.) I have to tell you guys that I ran into a guy at Cardinal Glennon that reminded me of Matt. He had the longer hair hanging over his ears and he came equipped with the party stache and funk music in the background. We miss you guys. Hope you move into your place soon.
Cool, you went to the Continent to go down an irrigation ditch that smelled good. I think that the Holman boys used to do that at the farm in Wyoming. OK, it was an irrigation ditch through a pig pen and a cattle corral. Priceless
What great adventures! They will make great stories for years to come.
Wow. What else can I say? Looks like you are having a blast. Keep enjoying it for the rest of us!
